Q: How long does a makeup application take?

It takes up to 1.5 hours for soft glam makeup, and up to 2 hours for extra glam.

Q: What is the difference between soft glam and extra glam? Why does one cost more?

Soft glam is glamorous but still soft and pretty, it includes soft smokey eyes or an overall natural-glam look. Extra glam is more bold and eye catching, like trendy looks often seen on Instagram. This includes dark smokey eyes, cut creases, heavy glitter, etc. I take my time doing both looks because I believe in quality over quantity, but extra glam is a lot more detailed and takes more time and concentration, hence the higher rate.

Below is an example of both types of looks. If you are still unsure just let me know, or send me inspiration photos of your desired look and I will determine which type it falls under.

Q: How long have you been doing makeup? Are you certified?

I have 11 years experience as a makeup artist, and yes I graduated from the top makeup school in Canada (Blanche Macdonald Centre). I've done makeup for weddings, photography, film and fashion over the past decade, and am best known for my beauty/glam looks.

Q: Will my makeup last all day?

I use high quality and long-wearing products including primers and setting products, which will help for your makeup to last all day. The only areas you may have to touch-up would be your lipstick, and powder if your skin is prone to shine.

Q: What makeup brands do you use?

I use a variety of professional-grade products in my kit. Some of my frequent brands include MAC, Fenty, and Estee Lauder, and Pink Mink Lashes.

Q: Do you have a studio or do you travel to me? Does travel cost extra?

I'm mobile and offer on-location makeup services, I can travel to the convenience of your home. Travel is included if you're located within Edmonton. If you're outside of the city, my travel fee is $0.59 per km.

Q: Do you offer false lashes and is it an extra cost?

Yes I use luxury faux mink lashes with many styles to choose from, and they are included at no additional cost!

Q: What is a bridal trial and is it necessary?

A bridal trial is a full makeup application and takes place before your wedding date, it is our opportunity to discuss your makeup requests, and create your perfect bridal look. It is not necessary but I recommend a trial to ensure we are both on the same page for your big day.

Q: How far in advance should I book a trial?

I recommend any time before your wedding date but at least 1 month prior.

Q: Can you do makeup for the entire bridal party, and how long will it take?

I book a maximum of 3 people per group, scheduled at 2 hours for the bride and 1.5 hour per bridesmaid. My main focus is the bride and I prefer to take my time and never rush. If there are additional people wanting to book, I may be able to bring a makeup artist assistant (at no additional charge). If required, please be assured that the artist I bring will also be experienced, skilled and certified.
